Diversity
Disability is fundamentally diverse, reaching every community across the globe. Yet, the people who are chosen to represent disability are not. For instance, 70% of disabilities are completely invisible, but disability representation in advertising focuses glaringly, oftentimes with the camera unjustifiably focused on distinctive elements of atypical bodies. Most importantly though, we have yet to encounter an ad where the disabled body is neither white (or the dominant group in a culture) nor middle class. We hope this changes soon.
